Today, ex-Royals and current Chicago White Sox pitcher threw the 21st perfect game in Major League Baseball history, needing only 96 pitches.
The perfect game is the 3rd in White Sox history: Charlie Robertson in 1922 and Mark Buehrle in 2009.
“I can’t even put it into words. I’m just so happy,” Humber said following the perfecto.
In the game, Humber struck out nine Seattle Mariners.
Philip Humber played with the Kansas City Royals in 2010, posting a 4.15 ERA in 8 games, including 1 start, striking out 16 in 21 2/3 innings.
